1st Active roofing carried out straight forward roof repairs to this semi-detached property in Wisewood, Sheffield, involving refitting hip tiles displaced by high winds.
We erected scaffolding to the side of the property and removed all the clay hip tiles from both hips. We removed a total of one hundred and ten tiles. We then refitted them all securely back into place using a combination of foam fixative and 100mm nails. High winds had regularly dislodged hip tiles. One even damaged the customer’s car. With this type of fixing and new nails, they will not move for years to come.
